Mentor Financial Group is a creation of Peter Conti and David Finkel. It was founded in 1997 by the two businessmen. Peter Conti was a former auto mechanic who was familiar with the real estate investment industry. David Finkel had experience with marketing and teaching programs. For ten tears they worked together and became proficient in the other individual’s area of expertise.

Peter Conti eventually bought out David Finkel’s interest in the Mentor Financial Group and sought to run the company by himself for around five years. Today, Peter Conti is partnered with Jerry Norton. Through Mentor Financial Group they are specializing in the flipping of houses and commercial properties. Jerry Norton is a recent addition to the real estate investment market, having only started investing in 2005, so he does not even know what a good real estate market looks like. Norton’s specialty is raising funds from private investors for the firm so that Mentor Financial Group can make funds available to clients so they can fund their own real estate deals.

Jerry Norton has flipped over two hundred properties in the last three years. He definitely has a knack for putting deals together. His strategy is that in this market you must obtain profits from properties right now rather than buying a property and hoping its value rises over time. Peter Conti and Jerry Norton’s partnership together in the Mentor Financial Group should reap results, it will be interesting to see how it turns out.
